Turku railway station to move to Logomo on 5 August 2024

Turku railway station will move to the new station platforms connected to the Logomo bridge in August. At first, the trains between Tampere and Turku and the Port of Turku will stop at the new platforms. Long-distance trains from Helsinki to Turku will be moved to the new station platforms by the end of the year, after the current traffic interruption has ended.

The address of the new station is Logomon Silta 1, and you will be able to walk from the old station building to the new one in about 10 minutes.

Services at the new station

Going forward, Turku railway station's services will be located on Logomo’s premises. The station has a warm waiting area, a café, a lunch restaurant and a ticket vending machine.

Station opening hours:

Mon–Sat 6:30 a.m.–9 p.m.

Sun 7:30 a.m.–9 p.m.

(The opening hours will remain the same)

When the new station opens, the old station building will be closed. New uses for the old station building are currently being sought. Station services are only temporarily located in Logomo. When the LogoHub multistorey car park is completed, the station will move to the ground floor of the car park.

Turku car-carrier train station

In connection with the move, the loading site for car-carrier trains from Turku will also return to its former location next to the old station building on 5 August. The new loading site address is Ratapihankatu 37. The temporary loading site for car-carrier trains at Vaunukatu 4 will be closed.

Connections between Turku and Helsinki

There is a traffic interruption between Turku and Helsinki, which is why we operate long-distance trains to Kupittaa instead of Turku railway station. When the traffic resumes, which will happen by the end of the year, long-distance trains between Helsinki and Turku will also be moved to the new station platforms at Logomo.
